While a roaring fire in the fireplace is welcome for the warmth it gives, we at Comfort Living Fireplaces recognize that many homeowners want the beauty of a fireplace without the need to store, haul, and burn real wood. Gas logs provide an easy, hassle-free way to enjoy the ambiance created by flames in a fireplace. We offer a wide selection of decorative log sets.
Gas logs utilize natural gas or propane, both of which burn cleaner than firewood. Many homeowners prefer gas logs because they are easy to use, environmentally friendly, and efficient.
Proper installation involves choosing a gas log set that fits the space in your fireplace or firebox. A simple set of measurements determines which models to choose from. What are your favorite logs to see in a fireplace? Or perhaps you would prefer the contemporary glass, stone or gems? Once our trained technicians install the gas log set or contemporary burner of your choice, enjoying a cozy fire in your home will be as simple as clicking a remote control or flipping a switch.
Vent free gas logs are equipped with Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) for safe operation. They must be burned in a fireplace that is capable of burning real wood (masonry or zero clearance) or in a vent free zero clearance firebox. They require no electricity and are an excellent source of dependable supplemental and emergency heat. Vent free gas logs are available for Natural Gas or Propane. They are available in various log styles with natural bark and realistic features, such as split and char or if you are the contemporary person, there are available burners for glass and beads. Designed to accommodate your needs, the vent free sets, whether logs or glass/gems, these versatile sets can be installed with or without venting, giving you more flexibility in incorporating them into your existing decor. Providing Up to 38,000 BTUs….. Stay warm and cozy….. the perfect fire for your space.
Vented gas logs can produce a realistic, dramatic flame; but they are primarily for decorative purposes. The fireplace damper must be opened to use vented gas logs, which means that much of the heat escapes up the chimney. Vented gas logs also must be burned in a fireplace that is capable of burning wood and must be burned with the damper open. The reason for this is that they do not burn the gas cleanly and create exhaust that is very similar to burning a real wood fire. This exhaust needs to be able to go up the chimney. The real beauty of vented gas logs is that they produce substantially more yellow flame than ventless logs which makes them look far more realistic. The downside is that most of the heat goes right up the chimney.
At Comfort Living Fireplaces, we will help you find the perfect fire for your space!
