Keeping your fireplace, stove or insert working properly and safe is our goal. We offer chimney and fireplace services from chimney inspections to fireplace repair, cleaning, and part replacement.

Services we offer:

Chimney Cleaning:

Heating appliances like wood-burning stoves, gas inserts, or pellet burning fireplaces all contribute to dirty chimneys. In fact, burning wood in a masonry fireplace, insert, or stove will produce a sticky, thick layer of black creosote and should be cleaned annually along with a Level 1 (visual inspection).  This will help keep your fireplace heat efficient, safe, and in proper working order.

Chimey Repair/Relining:

Water is your chimney’s worst enemy and the cause of very expensive chimney repairs.  A few good indications that you are facing water damage include things like white staining on your chimney, cracked or deteriorating mortar, spalling bricks, or masonry erosion.  The masonry materials, wood, and metal that all make up your chimney structure are all adversely affected by constant contact with water. After years of environmental exposure, your chimney could be in need of some necessary repairs to keep it functioning properly and to save the integrity of the structure.

In order to prevent serious water damage, we offer a number of preventative repairs such as:

  • Chimney Cap Installation/
  • Lock Top DampersLock-Top-Damper
  • Stainless Steel Chimney Liners
  • Chimney Flashing Repair & Replacement
  • Chimney Crown Sealant

Chimney Inspections –  Level 1 and 2:

Level 1:  Many times, a Level 1 chimney inspection is performed in conjunction with a chimney cleaning.  This simple inspection ensures that your fireplace & chimney system is safe to use throughout the heating season.  If you plan to use your system as you have in the past, then a Level 1 inspection is a miminum recommendation.  Our techs will perform an examination of all accessible interior and exterior components of your chimney, flue and fireplace.   We will look at the damper, firebox, smoke chamber, crown & cap, and the masonry and structural elements to ensure structural integrity and proper performance.  We will also ensure that there are no blockages, creosote or soot buildup, or any other deficiencies in your system.

Level 2:  If a homeowner has made any changes or upgrades to their heating system such as fuel type, chimney relining, or new appliance installation, it is recommended that the chimney receives a Level 2 Inspection.  Also, a Level 2 Chimney Inspection is recommended if a homeowner notices problems or poor operation of the chimney & heating system.  Additionally, a Level 2 inspection is recommended upon the sale or transfer of a property.  An in depth look throughout the entire chimney, or stove system can help locate any problems that may be causing performance issues.  A Level 2 Chimney Inspection covers all of the criteria in Level 1, but also utilizes a color video inspection tool to do a top to bottom look at the chimney and all of its components.  All internal surfaces and joints will be inspected for weaknesses that could potentially compromise performance and safety.  After the inspection, the homeowner will receive a detailed report that covers all of the findings and any recommended repairs that the service tech feels could improve the safety and performance of your fireplace system.
